Originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, and raised in California.
During high school, she moved to Santa Maria, California, where she pursued
her degree in Accounting at Allan Hancock College after graduation. During
her first semester of college, she met her husband and later married in
1994 and had three children.   Rosie and her family moved to Lovington, New
Mexico, in 2003, where they raised their children River, Cameron, and
Taylor. Rosie began her 10-year career in real estate finance and sales in
1992. The knowledge gained in real estate provided the skills needed to
secure employment at Lea County Electric Cooperative, Inc. (LCEC) and move
up through the organization. Rosie has served LCEC’s members as a Special
Services Assistant, Customer Service Supervisor, Benefits Administrator,
and since 2016 in the Marketing and Member Services department. She has
volunteered her time to the community in several capacities focusing her
volunteer work in projects that revere improvements of our community for
present and future generations. She joined the Economic Development
Department of Lovington in 2016. Additionally, Rosie serves on New Mexico
Junior College Foundation Board and is the Lovington Kiwanis Club,
Treasurer. Rosie has also donated her time to the Lovington Foundation for
the Arts, Lovington Chamber Ambassadors, and Lovington MainStreet Board.
Rosie was able to pursue her higher education goals and received her
Associate of Arts degree at New Mexico Junior College in 2013 and her
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a certificate in Human
Resources in 2018 at Southern New Hampshire University.
