First American Title's Image

Randy Owensby purchased E&W in 1979 with an employment of two people in Hobbs and five people in Lovington. Randy pursued a vision of building the company on service, trust and efficiency.

Through employing service and technical oriented staff, the company has grown substantially, currently employing over sixteen people in Hobbs and Lovington and representation of all major Title Insurance Underwriters.

Randy turned operational control over to David Pyeatt in 1993 and with the superior assistance from the staff, the company evolved into the computer era, developing one of the most "state of the art" title plants in the United States.

E&W's title plant consists of a geographical index, including actual document images of the Lea County Clerk's records. The current title plant enables the staff to examine titles and retrieve specific data in a fraction of the time it once took.

E&W recognizes, our most important asset is the dedicated employees, and takes great pride in their ability to service our customers, the real estate industry, the oil & gas industry, and the wonderful people of Lea County, New Mexico.
